Tears were greeted by the relatives of the victims of the road accident in Kharkov, the words of Elena Zaitseva that she pleaded guilty to the accident and asked for forgiveness.

The parents of the victims of Alexander Evteev and Diana Berchenko fear that the court recognizes Zaitseva's confession and charitable donations to the victims' accounts as mitigating circumstances. They think that if the girl wanted to apologize, she would have done it much earlier.

"I wanted to see who took our life. I did not see anything from her, no feelings, no wrinkles anywhere, no wrinkles, nothing. She feels sorry for herself - this is unequivocal, "- says Svetlana Evteeva.

"I looked at her, she had the same thin voice as my Oksanochka, who now lies. Just want to say: what have you done, girl, "- says Igor Berchenko.

As previously reported, on October 18 in Kharkov at the intersection of Sumskaya Street and Mechnikov Lane there was a collision of the Lexus of 20-year-old Elena Zaitseva, who was moving to the red traffic light, and the Volkswagen Tuareg car, at the wheel of which was 49-year-old Gennady Dronov. After the collision, "Lexus" flew to the sidewalk and shot down 11 pedestrians. Five people died on the spot, and one more died from injuries in the hospital.

The court took Zaitsev and Dronov into custody for the time of the investigation into the case.

On December 13, Zaitseva pleaded guilty to committing an accident and stated that she was ready to face the punishment imposed by the court. Kiev District Court of Kharkiv extended the preventive punishment in the form of detention to Elena Zaitseva until February 10, 2018.
