The Ukrainian authorities are dragging out with key changes in the country and therefore may lose the support of the International Monetary Fund. This was in Washington at the hearings in the Senate Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Wess Mitchell, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday, December 12. According to him, Ukrainians are expected to "noticeable progress" in passing a law that would control the activities of anti-corruption courts, as well as in the reform of the gas transportation system. Otherwise, "I think they are in great danger," Mitchell said.. Let us remind you that the IMF's financial assistance program for Ukraine is designed for 4 years. It provides for the allocation of $ 17.5 billion to Kiev. In 2015-2016, Nezalezhnaya received four tranches, the last of which for $ 1 billion was received this April. However, the allocation of the fifth tranche of $ 1.9 billion is still in question.

Left without the financial support of the IMF, the Kiev authorities hope that they will soon be supported by Europeans. As stated at the end of November, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance, Alexander Danilyuk, Nezalezhnaya expects a transfer of € 1.8 billion in the framework of the project of financial aid for 2018-2019 from the European Union.
