Taras Stepanenko believes that Roma is a rival of approximately the same level as the Miner.

"I'm pleased with the draw," said Shakhtar's midfielder. - Of all the rivals that we could fall out, Roma about the same level with us. This is a good team, in which qualified players are gathered. They showed excellent results in the group stage, but still Roma is not Barcelona and not PSG. In some ways, Roma is similar to Napoli - acts according to the same pattern as the Neapolitans against us in Kharkov. They have a strong triple in the midfield - De Rossi, Strootman, Nainggolan, the tall striker Dzeko, always responding to the feeds from the flanks, and the beautiful winger Perotti. The only difference from Napoli is the less organized defense: they score a lot and pass a lot ".

The first match between Shakhtar and Roma will take place in Kharkov on February 21. The return meeting of the teams will be held in Rome on March 13.
