People took to the streets to protest against the reform of the judicial process, which the ruling Social Democratic Party plans to hold. According to Romania TV, in Bucharest, about 10,000 protesters walked through the center yesterday shouting slogans: "The Nest of Thieves and Bandits", and "Let's Save Romania Together" near government buildings.

The action started at about six in the evening and lasted four hours.

At the same time, such demonstrations were held in several other cities in Romania, and abroad - in London, Milan and Paris.

The opposition claims that the Social Democrats want to change the judicial system in order to take it under political control and weaken the fight against corruption. It is also noted that the benefits of this will be primarily the members of the PSD, who are under investigation for alleged corruption.

At the same time, the European Commission has already stated that the plans of the Romanian government can put the judicial system under the control of politicians.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, November 26 in Bucharest was a mass protest against corruption. In early November, ten thousand residents of Bucharest also protested. They demanded from the ruling coalition to withdraw from the parliament bills on introducing changes in the justice system.
