After that, the publication Bild reported that the leadership of the "bumblebees" decided to fire Peter Bos.

Borussia convened a press conference, which announced the resignation of the Dutch specialist.

Peter Bose led the "bumblebees" before the start of this season. Under the guidance of the new coach, Borussia started in the Bundesliga in a powerful way: for example, in the first 6 rounds the team scored 18 points with a goal difference of 19-1. However, further the decline followed - in the last 13 matches in all tournaments, "bumblebees" won only one victory - over the third-league Magdeburg in the German Cup.

Among these matches stands a draw in the Ruhr derby against Schalke: the Dortmund lead 4-0 towards the middle of the first half, but in the second half of the meeting they missed 4 goals in response - 4: 4.

After 15 rounds of the championship, Borussia goes 7th, yielding to Bavaria 13 points. In the Champions League, the team scored only 2 points, after a two-time draw with APOEL, but this was enough to enter the Europa League.

The new coach of Borussia was the ex-coach of Cologne Peter Steger.
