Gas-turbine equipment for the TPPs being built in Crimea was captured by fraudulent means. The company "Tekhnopromexport" stated that it purchases units for the construction of an energy facility in Taman, and together it secretly sent them to the republic. About this in court, said a representative of Siemens Mikhail Ivanov. Ivanov specifically mentioned that no construction work was carried out in Taman, and Technopromexport was well aware of this. This means that the German concern and the joint venture "Siemens gas turbine technology" were deliberately misled. The German side states that the contracts with Technopromexport were concluded in such a way that they did not violate the anti-Russian sanctions. "Efforts were made to prevent the EU from violating the EU sanctions and to release from possible liability," the representative of the concern. He explained that the agreement included points that provide for the possibility of termination if it threatens to violate EU sanctions. In addition, there was an obligation on the part of the buyer not to place turbines on the territory of the Crimean peninsula. As the final destination for the supply of equipment was named the mainland of Russia - the Taman Peninsula. Representatives of the defendant insist that in this form the contract was not enforceable. The problem is that the document included conditions that are contrary to the public policy of Russia. "This was done in order to force Russian legal entities to comply with the sanctions restrictions imposed by the European Union," - noted in "Technopromexport". Following the meeting, the court decided to postpone further proceedings in this case until December 14. Such a decision was made "in order to comply with the principle of adversarial nature of the parties and the adoption of a justified judicial act". The Moscow Arbitration Court is considering a lawsuit filed by Siemens against VO Tekhnopromexport and OOO VO Tekhnopromexport, which are subsidiaries of Rostekh,.

The German concern demands that the deals on deliveries to them of the turbines that were destined for the Taman TPP be invalidated, but ultimately found themselves in the Crimea, which is a violation of the EU sanctions. Siemens asks to return the delivered equipment.

Two "Tekhnopromexport" previously filed a counterclaim against the Germans, in which they demand that the part of the deal be invalidated, in particular, the contract clauses limiting the geographical use of turbines.
