This was said by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, in an interview with LIGA. net.
According to Jovanovic, the fight against corruption is the most important challenge for the Ukrainian government and the entire Ukrainian people. It is worth acknowledging that since 2014 the president, all prime ministers and the Verkhovna Rada have made a lot of efforts to do this.
Namely, the results of efforts were the creation of new anti-corruption bodies. The US is ready to provide assistance and support for the creation of these anti-corruption bodies.
According to the ambassador, in the anti-corruption bodies there are many people who know how to work well together. Proof of this is about 100 cases, which the anti-corruption bodies investigated and initiated, and which are practically suspended at the judicial level.
As previously reported in URA-Inform, representatives of the European Union ask Kyiv to ignore the recommendations of the Venice Commission and rather start creating an Anti-Corruption Court.
