Already now, the United States provides Ukraine with operational-tactical weapons. This opinion on Monday evening, December 4, in an interview with "Radio Liberty" expressed the Ukrainian ambassador to the US Valery Chaly. He also assured that this will happen in this year.

As for the provision of powerful lethal weapons, this is a separate decision, which must be made by the president.

All the preparatory procedures have been carried out to date, "the ambassador explained, adding that this is a political decision, and it will be adopted taking into account the national interests of the United States. At the same time, speaking about possible new personal sanctions against Russian oligarchs and the entourage of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Ukrainian diplomat noted that there is currently no clear position as to what sanctions the Congress requires from the executive structures. However, in January, a specific list of people from Putin's entourage will be provided to Congress. What next with this list will be, will still be decided, - explained Chaly.

Recall, as reported by URA-Inform, earlier Chaly noted that the US will agree with Ukraine's arguments that the provision of such weapons is very important right now, even before the election of the President of Russia, appointed on March 18, 2018, as additional pressure on Russian President Vladimir Putin.
