Macedonia occupies a leading position in Europe in the field of introducing alternative energy sources, as the country's energy sector already uses renewable sources for 25 percent. According to Eurostat, already in 2015 the share of "green" energy in the country was 20 percent. The Macedonian government has adopted special legislation to facilitate entrepreneurs doing business in this area.

Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia Stobe Zmeikoski is confident that the new agreement will allow Ukraine not only to adopt the experience of Macedonia, but also to enter European markets in this sector. The diplomat asserts that in Ukraine there are all the climatic conditions necessary for running this business, which at the moment are simply not used.

As reported in URA-Inform, former US Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch said that Ukraine has a huge potential in the energy sector.
