Peter Steeger leaves the post of head coach of Cologne.

The official website of Cologne announced that the club ceased cooperation with the 51-year-old Austrian.

Steger said goodbye to the players after the match of the 14th round of the Bundesliga against Schalke (2: 2), but was officially announced only now.

Temporarily the team will be headed by the coach of Cologne (U-19) Stefan Rutenbeck. His assistant was the ex-defender of the team Kevin McKenna.

Note that Cologne in the 14 rounds of the Bundesliga managed to earn only 3 points. In the European League they have a chance in the last round to win a ticket to the 1/16 finals.
