On the Ukrainian highways will be built special corridors designed for wild animals. The idea of ??creating such infrastructure is owned by the World Wide Fund for Nature. According to the idea, special corridors will help preserve the wildlife population in Ukraine. They will appear where there are individuals that are on the verge of extinction. First of all, it concerns lynx and brown bears - there are not more than two hundred of them left. The development of "roads" for wild animals is carried out with the financial support of EU funds and the Interreg project - the Danube transnational program that cares for the environment. The project is already being implemented by environmentalists and a Transgreen project specialist. "The priority of the project will be to support unimpeded ecological corridors ensuring free movement of species that are most affected by cars and railways: large predators (brown bears, wolves, lynxes) and some species of herbivores," the initiators of the creation of eco-bridges.
