The 64-year-old German specialist did not want to continue working with the team from China.

After the contract, Magat decided not to renew the agreement and continue his career elsewhere - this was reported by the official website of Shandong Luneng.

Felix led the Chinese team since June 2016, following the results of last season, having won 6th place in the Super League standings.

The place of the departed Magath was occupied by the player Shandong Luneng Li Xiaopeng.
