Biathletes of the Czech national team Jitka Landova and Gabriela Koukalova enthusiastically embraced the news about the disqualification of Russians for doping.

Recall that the International Olympic Committee recently deprived Ian Romanov and Olga Viluhin of silver medals, which they won at the 2014 Winter Olympic Games held in Sochi.

In this regard, the results of the Russian team were canceled, and the Czech national team is now a full-fledged holder of bronze medals. It was this joyful event and the Czechs commented on.

"Justice has triumphed, and I'm glad that it exists. We have discussed many times with girls that sooner or later we will get a medal. I was going to work when the message came from Eva Puskarchikova that we would receive bronze medals. It would be nicer to mark this event differently, since I have no one to share emotions with. I'm alone at home and looking forward to the girls to celebrate it together ", - quotes the words of the Land Sport. aktualne. cz.

But another Czech biathlete Gabriela Koukalova is of the opinion that after these events Russia should be deprived of participation in the 2018 Olympics, which will be held in Pyeongchang.

"I'm sure you already know that the Czech women's relay team will receive the Sochi Olympic medal four years after the Games. On the one hand, it's good that justice has triumphed. But at the same time I'm sorry for Eva Puskarchikova, as well as for my friend Yitka Landova, who ended her career last year due to health problems - they gave their whole lives to the sport, made great efforts, but could not enjoy success.

I do not know about you, but I advocate that doping violations are recognized as a serious crime. You can not let the Russians speak at the 2018 Games, as it was done at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016. I would like to tell them the following: in life there are things more important than victory, which was obtained at such a price. It's honesty and justice.. It is a pity that the Russians still do not understand this, "- said Koukalova.

Recall that due to doping, Russia has already been deprived of 11 medals, which they won at the OI-2014. As a consequence, in the unofficial medal standings, they have already lowered to the third place. Consideration of the case regarding Russia's admission to the 2018 Olympics will be held on December 5.
