The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation officially confirmed that Henryk Glembotsiy, employee of the Institute of National Memory of Poland (IPN) and Professor of the Jagiellonian University, returned to his homeland.

The decision to expel the specialist from the country was made in response to unfriendly actions on the part of Warsaw, said the official representative of the Russian diplomatic mission Maria Zakharova. In early October, the authorities of Poland expelled from the country the professor of the Novosibirsk State Technical University, Dmitry Karnaukhov, who was engaged in teaching. According to Zakharova, the decision to expel Karnaukhov was made on absurd charges. Moscow responded in kind. Glebozy, who studied Russian-Polish relations of the two previous centuries, left the Russian territory on November 25. "Measures taken in relation to X. Glembotsky, are the answer to this unfriendly act, "the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry quotes Zakharov.. Such a decision was probably a surprise for the Polish Foreign Ministry, which protested against the expulsion of its scientist. "We express our concern about the incomprehensible decision of the Russian side to expel Professor Henrik Globotsky," commented Moscow's decision in the Polish Foreign Ministry.

Despite the symmetry of the answer, Poland did not fail to take advantage of the occasion to again accuse Russia of the "propaganda campaign" that it allegedly spent the last months. The expulsion of Glembotsky in the Polish diplomatic mission was deemed yet another proof that the dialogue between the countries "faces obstacles because of unilateral actions by the Russian Federation".
