The relevant resolution "On Amendments to the Rules of the Road" was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on November 10. The document comes into force on January 1.

Thus, according to the decree, the maximum permitted speed of vehicles in settlements from 60 to 50 kilometers per hour will be reduced in Ukraine. Governments are expected to improve road safety and save people's lives.

Also in the Cabinet note that today in most countries of the European Union the allowed speed of vehicles in settlements is not more than 50 kilometers per hour, and in special points - 30 kilometers per hour. Therefore, the government believes that such a decision will bring Ukrainian legislation closer to the legislation of the European Union.
