In their opinion, Colonel Igor Skvortsov and Sharoiko were instructed to provide information on the import of technical means of telecommunications and electronic computers to Belarus, the availability of coverage of domestic mobile operators in the border areas with Ukraine, as well as the distribution of the radio frequency resource, the state of radio amateurs among the local population.

In this case, according to the Belarusian KGB, during a search of a detained journalist on electronic media, copies of reconnaissance reports were found, as well as assignments from so-called curators.

Recall, November 17, it became known about the detention in Belarus of his own correspondent of "Ukrainian Radio", Ukrainian citizen Pavel Sharoiko.

Later, an official representative of the State Security Committee of Belarus, Dmitry Pobierzhin, stated that a Ukrainian journalist had been detained on suspicion of espionage. In turn, Ukrainian intelligence said that the information is untrue.

As reported URA-Inform, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the Ukrainian authorities knew about the preparations for the detention of Pavel Sharoiko and there is no Russian trace in this matter.
