According to journalists, 224 settlements were evacuated. Also, the local airport was closed, in which at the time of the eruption of the volcano there were about five thousand passengers.

Recall the last major eruption of Agunga occurred in 1963, which killed about 1100 people, and tens of thousands more lost their homes. The height of the volcano reaches 3,142 meters, and the depth of the crater is 200 meters.

As reported URA-Inform, a number of airlines, including Virgin, KLM, Air Asia Malaysia and Jetstar, canceled on November 25, 2017 several flights to Bali because of the eruption of the volcano Agung.
