Special parliamentary hearings on this issue were held in London on November 7. This is reported on Sunday, November 26, the Ukrainian Embassy in London.
According to the department, the initiators of the hearings were the ruling Conservative Party Pauline Latham. However, as a result, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country reported that, as a result, the hearing decided not to change the position according to which the term "genocide" London officially applies to crimes in Srebrenica, Rwanda and the Holocaust.
At the same time, the Foreign Ministry reported that the Holodomor happened before the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the 1948 Genocide, which defined genocide as a concept of international law, and international law can not be applied retrospectively.
Recall, the Holodomor is recognized as a genocide in the states of Washington, Wisconsin, Oregon, Illinois, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York. Later this decision was supported by Michigan.
As reported URA-Inform, November 25 Ukraine marks the national day of mourning - the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Holodomor 1932-33.
