The European Union included in it the Russian governor of Sevastopol in the annexed Crimea Dmitry Ovsyannikov. According to a report published in the Official Journal of the EU, Ovsyannikov was added to the "black list" in connection with actions that undermine the sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.

After the election of the governor in the illegally annexed city of Sevastopol by the Russian Federation on September 10, 2017, the Council of the European Union believes that one person should be added to the list of persons, organizations and bodies subject to restrictive measures,.

It also says that Ovsyannikov in 2017 he made public statements about supporting the illegal annexation of Crimea and Sevastopol on the anniversary of the illegal "Crimean referendum".

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the EU will continue to sanction against Russia without debate.
