From the explosion two people died at the scene of the accident. Another employee of the mine died of injured injuries in the hospital.

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations in the Republic of Moldova confirmed the fact of an accident. At the scene of the incident, rescue teams now work.

According to preliminary data, there may still be people in the mine. In turn, the country's Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, ordered the convening of emergency meetings of the crisis center and the government in connection with the incident.
