The protest march was organized by trade unions in conjunction with the "Social Front". Activists protested against the tax policy of Macron, which gives significant privileges to the wealthy part of the population, for which the head of state was nicknamed "the president of the rich". Law enforcers reported that there were no unnecessary provocations, except for a few broken showcases of banks.
The protesters marched along the right bank of Paris, from the Marshal Jouen Square to the Boulevard Haussmann and approached the Champs-Elysees.
As reported in the "URA-Inform", earlier in France protests began because of Macro reforms in the energy sector.
