Since the beginning of 2017. in Ukraine have already recorded 11 deaths on the basis of food poisoning caused by the causative agent of botulism. Such data was transferred by the press service of the Center for Disease Monitoring.

These data were made public on November 15, 2017. During this period, 112 cases of food poisoning were recorded, which were caused by a causative agent of botulism, from which 132 people. Foods produced at home were previously consumed by 80 people; as well as acquired at trade enterprises - 35 victims, products of unknown origin - 10 victims.
