CEO of the American holding Morgan Stanley James Gorman believes that "bitcoin is speculative by definition". This is reported by CNBC.

According to the head of a major bank, bitcoin gets much more attention than he really deserves. In this case, says Gorman, "this phenomenon will not disappear overnight" and will continue to exist for some time.

In addition, the banker is convinced that bitcoin has nothing to do with reliable investments, and therefore those wishing to receive a guaranteed return from their investments should not cherish illusions on this matter.

"Everything that grows over 700% a year is speculative by definition," continues the American financier. - Thus, those who think that this is a stable investment, simply deceive themselves. "Also in an interview with the channel, Gorman said that he does not consider bitcoin a reliable means of preserving value. Among other things, he is not sure that financial regulators will closely monitor the price of the crypto currency or regulate any related processes.

In what Gorman expressed absolute certainty - it's only that "bitcoin is actively used by criminals":.

"Do people support him who want to use crypto-currencies on an anonymous basis for criminal purposes? Absolutely, "- concluded CEO Morgan Stanley.
