Kharkov fencers won the World Championship medals

From 7 to 12 November in Rome, Rome hosted the world championship in fencing on wheelchairs, where the Kharkov women Eugene Breus and Anna Pashkova won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals.

As reported in the Department of Youth and Sports of HOGA, 145 sportsmen from 24 countries of the world took part in the championship, including 13 Paralympics of Ukraine. Among them were two Kharkovites.

The whole set of awards was won by the master of sports of the international class Evgenia Breus. She won "gold" in team competitions in fencing with sabers. Together with other Ukrainian women - Natalia Morkvich, Nadezhda Delog and Olga Yesina, Eugene won in the final against the Italian team.

In personal competitions in fencing with sabers Eugene took second place, losing in the finals to her compatriot Natalia Morkvich from Lviv. Also on her account was a bronze medal in personal fencing competitions on swords.

Anna Pashkova won another bronze medal. She debuted at the world championships and successfully performed in personal fencing competitions on rapiers, finishing third.
