This is stated in the study of specialists PwC.

As noted, at the moment the first place in the ranking is Oman with a share of defense spending - 16.75% of the country's GDP. On the second place is Saudi Arabia with 10.41% of GDP, and the third - was Syria with 8.49% of GDP. At the same time, the US is now only in 17th place with an indicator of 3.3% of GDP.

Also, experts from the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute noted that in fact, Russia is in this ranking in third place after the US and China. But here experts did not link to the country's GDP.

Recall, as previously reported by URA-Inform, 23 EU member states signed and handed to Federica Mogerini a request to enter into a permanent structured cooperation in the defense sphere.
