Huawei presented its own concept of "smart" megapolis - an intelligent environment that can significantly improve the efficiency of city services and optimize their work in all areas, from data storage to energy costs.
Within the smart platform, Huawei identifies seven key areas. One of them is an intelligent transportation system. It, inter alia, provides for the display of the current traffic situation on mobile electronic devices. The system will be able to control the traffic lights depending on the traffic congestion and time of day, as well as adjust the schedule of public transport.
The second direction is the Smart Grid system, designed to efficiently manage electricity consumption. The concept assumes reduction of expenses for a food of various IT-devices, economy of means for the maintenance of city facilities, and also improvement of ecological conditions.
In turn, the city's security system Safe City will ensure the effective management of all emergency services through a single situational center.
The ePolice Community Assistance System will help track calls in real time. The e-education platform eEducation provides distance learning with the possibility of participating in lectures. And the eHealth eHealth system includes such components as a doctor's appointment, a single patient database, a videoconferencing Telepresence for doctors' meetings, remote consultations, remote control operations.
Finally, the concept includes a geoinformation system - the distribution of all blocks of an "intelligent" city on a map.
"The Smart / Safe City system is integrated into existing processes: ICT solutions and service applications are designed to compile and analyze the data of the most important city services and promptly respond to people's requests in those areas for which the authorities are responsible," said Huawei..
