Microsoft has added a new feature to the test assembly Windows 10 (17035), which simplifies the exchange of files between different devices. Similar to AirDrop on Apple gadgets, Near Share allows you to quickly and easily send photos and documents to a neighboring PC via Bluetooth. The preview version of the next update is currently only available to Windows Insiders.
As reported in the Windows blog, Near Share is located in the notification center. It can also be accessed from the browser Edge, "Photos", "Explorer" and other programs by clicking on the "Share". When someone sends a file, the recipient will receive a notification.
In addition, the assembly of the 17035 brings Edge the ability to quickly mute the tab where the sound is played, and quickly download the free eBook in EPUB format (by clicking on the diskette icon in the upper right corner). The settings related to sound received their own tab in the "System" section, and users were allowed to limit the download speed for background downloads.
Analog AirDrop for Android is testing and Google. New file manager - Files Go - allows you to easily move, copy and delete files, and share them with nearby Android-devices by Bluetooth. However, sending files does not work as smoothly as on "iPhones": Files Go must be installed on both gadgets, while AirDrop allows you to send a document to any contact. While Files Go can download a limited range of testers.
