"On November 6, 2017, the decision of the Primorsky District Court of Odessa refused to satisfy the claim of Svetlana N. to the Odessa customs of the GFS about the cancellation of the decision on the case of an administrative offense, which was fined 3 million 651 thousand as a driver of the Cadillac Escalade, the national license plate of the Republic of Lithuania. 387.5 UAH for violation of transit conditions through the customs territory of Ukraine, "it was informed.

The Jedi Society in Facebook published a video about the incident. Odessa Svetlana and her husband bought the 2007 Cadillac Escalade two years ago by proxy. The car was brought to them by a foreigner. After that, the family began to have problems with the police and customs. "I was sitting in the car with the engine off. Then the policemen approached and demanded documents. Then they took the keys and documents to the car. The policeman sat behind the wheel of Cadillac, I was put in a police car, and drove to customs, "- said Svetlana.

In the local division of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, a woman wrote a report on tax evasion and decided to pay about UAH 3.6 million fine - 300% of the customs clearance cost of the car.
