Now Kiev buys Polish trams PESA 5th generation with 100% low floor, air conditioners, Wi-Fi, they have a quiet move. On Tuesday, November 7, on the air of one of the Ukrainian television channels, the mayor of the city Vitali Klitschko.

According to him before the end of the year, the capital authorities plan to equip the rolling stock on the high-speed tram line with modern fifth-generation trams. However, Klitschko, commenting on the statement that in Kiev they purchase trams from the Poles instead of supporting the domestic manufacturer, explained that, unfortunately, the Lviv plant can not cope with the volumes that the city now needs.

He also noted that when buying Polish trams, the Moscow authorities put forward the condition for the creation in Kiev of a service center for their servicing. At the same time, the city mayor assured that the trams are an environmentally friendly mode of transport and therefore he does everything to update the rolling stock of public transport as a whole.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, passengers of metropolitan high-speed trams can now pay travel card. City authorities introduce a new service. As reported by the Kyiv City State Administration, such a service is being introduced on the Borshchagovskaya and Troeschinskaya high-speed tram lines.
