The unit was connected to the grid after 264 days of comprehensive mid-life repair, during which all agreed measures were taken to prolong the life of the plant and increase the level of safety, the press service of the state company Energoatom.

The department stressed that the works carried out at the power unit fully comply with IAEA international standards, Ukrainian legislation in the field of nuclear regulation, as well as worldwide experience of operating nuclear installations in the over-project period.

It is noted that at present there are five power units at Zaporizhzhya NPP. Power unit No. 1 is under planned repair.
