The police of Kiev received a message that near the bridge in the Pechersk district of the capital the man cut off the cable. The patrol and investigative-operative group immediately left for the scene of the incident. The malefactor was detained. This is reported on the official website of the National Police.

Thanks to the operational work of the police, the perpetrator was detained right on the scene of the crime. They turned out to be a 31-year-old resident of the Kiev region, before he was already in the field of view of policemen for possession of drugs. He told the investigation that during the theft he stopped the car and agreed with two accomplices, who were to transport the electric cable. However, after a while they left, and the thief was quickly caught by the law enforcers. The attacker added that he cut off the cable with special metal scissors.

On this fact, the Investigative Department of the Pechersk Police Department launched criminal proceedings on h. 2 items. 185 (Theft) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. In this issue, the question of choosing him a preventive measure. The offender faces up to five years in prison.
