Weekends will last for three days. The official newspaper of the government "Uriadovy Courier", published on Sunday, November 5, says that the first weekend will be from December 30 to January 1 inclusive, and the second from January 6 to January 8 inclusive.

In general, people will rest for a day less than for the winter holidays last year. At this pre-holiday working days, shortened for an hour, is not provided.

So, this year the New 2018 in Ukraine falls on Monday and, accordingly, the weekend will be Saturday, Sunday and Monday inclusive. January 7 also falls on Sunday, so Monday, January 8, will be a non-working day.

Recall, as reported URA-Inform, the Kyiv city state administration intends to spend 150 thousand hryvnia for the organization of celebrations of New Year and Christmas holidays on the Sofia and Mikhailovskaya squares.
