One of the government committees of India recommended that lawmakers prohibit the work of "crypto-currency dealers" in the country. Information about this appeared in the local edition of the Economic Times.
The publication notes that, apparently, it is about closing the crypto-exchange exchanges. However, the source does not give more complete information about the reasons for this decision.
CEO of the Indian exchange Bitxoxo Hesham Reiman advised the government to "curb" the sale of crypto assets with the use of fiat currencies, and not close exchanges. To this end, he proposed issuing official guidance regulating trade in crypto-currencies.
"If lawmakers do impose a ban on trading in crypto-currencies inside the country, then nothing will prevent local traders from going to international markets," added Reiman.
