David Fridson lives in Israel for only five years. However, on October 28 he became the hero of the day in his part in the IDF. David was the first to notice and stop the suspicious car, thus preventing, perhaps, a whole series of attacks against the Israelis.

Private Freedson was drafted into the Israeli army in March 2017. He serves in the military police in the security checkpoint unit. David was trained to identify suspicious persons and vehicles. His knowledge, he fully manifested for the first time in the incident at the checkpoint "Ha-Kiosk" in the Gush Etzion.

- At noon, a car drove up to the checkpoint, provoking my suspicions. The first thing I noticed was the lack of a license plate, says David. - I told the driver to stop for checking. I called the senior on the checkpoint and asked the driver to open the trunk. There lay a large bag. Its contents were in contradiction with the weight. We summoned additional forces, took all the things out of the bag and found a batch of weapons at the bottom.

The driver was detained and sent for questioning. During the inquiry it turned out that he was carrying weapons to the Palestinians in the area of ??southern Judea and Samaria.

David Fridson repatriated to Israel from Ukraine in 2012. He arrived alone, without a family, in the framework of the youth program of NAALE. David had good relations with his comrades in the program, and he perfectly adapted in Israel. In March, Friedson was drafted into the army.

"I'm glad that at a dangerous moment I managed to apply the knowledge gained in the army and stop the smuggling of weapons, which was intended for carrying out terrorist attacks," said the soldier..
