Kaspersky Lab experts detected a virus-trojan that steals crypto-currencies from users' wallets.
The aim of the attackers were Bitcoin, Ethereum, Zcash, Dash, Monero and other electronic money. With his help, 23 bitcoins for $ 160,000 have already been stolen.
The malware is called CryptoShuffler, it exploits human inattention. In order to transfer money from one crypto-purse to another, the user must specify the recipient's identification number, which consists of a set of symbols. It is almost impossible to remember, so the "copy-paste" function is usually used. It is at this point that CryptoShuffler is activated.
"After the download, it starts to monitor the device's clipboard, and when it detects the purported purse address there, it substitutes it for its own. As a result, if the user does not notice forgery, money is sent directly to intruders, "experts said..
