Almost 40 teachers of Upper Pyshma schools began to master the theoretical and practical foundations of self-defense. The refresher course for physical education teachers, who will subsequently teach Sambo elements to Ural schoolchildren in ordinary lessons within the framework of the All-Russian project "Sambo to School".

The courses take place on the basis of a specialized sambo complex in the village of Baltym. Within three days the teachers will be engaged under the guidance of qualified specialists of UMMC SAMBO Club. The process will be led by the head coach of the club and the team of the Sverdlovsk region, Honored Coach of Russia Alexander Melnikov.

"The main task is to save the teachers themselves from fear of doing this or that method, inflict damage or injury. Therefore, much attention is paid to practical training. Directly on the carpet, the teachers of physical education practice the skills of correct grouping in the fall, the self-insurance complex and even individual elements of combat sambo in case of an attack by a person with a cold or firearm, "said Alexander Melnikov.

The first stage of training of physical education teachers in the basics of sambo has already taken place in June this year in several settlements of the Sverdlovsk region: Verkhnyaya Pyshma, Serov, Sukhom Log, Irbit and Achite. More than 100 teachers from 19 municipalities of the region were able to raise their qualification.

Recall that the Middle Urals has become one of the pilot sites for the implementation of the All-Russian project "Sambo to School", received support at the highest state level. It is assumed that as a result of its implementation, certain receptions and elements of self-defense will be included in the curriculum of physical education in ordinary secondary education institutions.
