Hacker group The Dark Overlord, who previously claimed responsibility for compromising the Netflix computer network and the leakage of data from customers at the prestigious London plastic surgery clinic, threatened to publish a customer database of the Hollywood recording studio Line 204. Representatives of the group sent a fragment of the database to the resource IBTimes UK.

"As with all our friends who do not agree to one of our business proposals, we will take appropriate measures, promulgating all the data of clients, documents, intellectual property and other confidential files," the hackers told reporters.

Judging by the database provided by IBTimes UC, the list of customers of Line 204 includes Apple, Netflix, Funny or Die, ABC, HBO, Hulu and other companies. The database fragment also contained a file called CustomerCard, which included the financial information of the clients of the studio, but it was encrypted. Among other things, the database contained information about transactions, bank deposits and vendor lists. Hackers also claim that they managed to access the addresses and phone numbers of celebrities.

Representatives of Line 204 confirmed the information about the hacking and reported that together with the FBI are trying to find out exactly what information was stolen. The amount of ransom demanded by hackers is not reported.

According to the participants of The Dark Overlord, their goal is exclusively financial benefit. Hackers also said they are preparing an attack on another Hollywood studio.
