China wants to launch freight trains to the European Union via Ukraine and import Ukrainian food products. This was reported in the press service of the State Reserve "Ukrinform".

"The Chinese side has already agreed on new routes for trains from Zhengzhou to Slovakia, Poland, Hungary and these routes will pass through the territory of Ukraine," reads the State Reserve.

"Now we are talking only about transit trains on the territory of Ukraine. And this is also quite a large income. The next stage should be the expansion of the project and the beginning of export supplies of Ukrainian goods of the food group to the People's Republic of China, "- said the Chairman of the State Reserve Vadim Mosiychuk.

According to him, the State Reserve is already actively working with the Ministry of Infrastructure regarding the definition of exact train routes. At the moment, Chinese experts, with the assistance of the Ministry, have already visited Chop and Mostitskaya stations, were able to assess their advantages and capacities.

The capacities of the State Reserve System are also prepared before the full-scale start of the project.

"The State Reserve owns large savings and production capacities in the agricultural sector, and we also have seven large logistics centers, diversified from each other. And we are ready, on our part, to provide them for this case. These enterprises have an excellent geographical location, extensive transport infrastructure, and actively modernize their facilities, "said Mosiichuk.

According to him, the Chinese side is very interested in exporting high-quality Ukrainian food, in particular, flour, sweets, vodka, butter, and t.

"Four years ago, the Chinese launched the first transit train to Brest, and from there to Warsaw and Germany. Further, Belarusian goods began to be exported to the Middle Kingdom. Today this is a very large-scale Sino-Belarus project, the Brest direction is simply overloaded. Until now, all this Silk Road passed, unfortunately, bypassing Ukraine, "summarized Mosiychuk.

Let's remind, the new Silk way bypassing Russia planned to start in 2016.
