He stated this during a briefing on the draft resolution of the UN General Assembly on "The Situation of Human Rights in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the City of Sevastopol".

Klimkin is sure that during the period of military operations, it is also necessary to introduce control over the movement and for Russian citizens, an enhanced verification of documents during the border crossing will begin to work as early as on November 1, 2018. Perhaps this will be a visa regime, but border guards will be required to conduct a thorough check of all persons.

At this stage, Klimkin emphasizes, this issue is not on the agenda, and is not a matter of consideration at the UN, but at the government level, dialogues are being held.

As reported in the "URA-Inform", previously Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov announced the need to introduce a visa regime with Russia.
