Since 2020, planning a trip to European countries, citizens of Ukraine will have to undergo a special online check. A response with a refusal or entry permit will arrive within 72 hours.

For today it is necessary to have only a biometric passport, tickets back and documents confirming the purpose of the trip, terms of stay and residence. Two years to enter the EU will need more, and pre-authorization in the ETIAS system.

Preliminary registration in the ETIAS system every three years will have to be held by citizens aged 18 to 60 years. Filling one online form will cost 10 euros. The implementation of the ETIAS system will cost EUR212.1 million to the Eurobudget, plus EUR 85 million annually.

Immediately before the trip to the countries of visa-free travel, people will have to fill out the electronic form on the website of the ETIAS system. There you will need to indicate: full name, date and place of birth, sex and citizenship, passport data (validity of travel document and country of issue), home address and contact information, as well as the EU country you intend to enter first. It will also be necessary to indicate the existence of any convictions for serious criminal offenses (terrorism, sexual exploitation of children, trafficking in persons or drugs, murder and rape), stay in conflict zones and any administrative decisions over the past 10 years.
