The attack occurred near the village of Argandab. The militants attacked the cars and flew to checkpoints, killing about six policemen and wounding about eight. The number of dead militants was eight, 12 more were wounded and taken into custody.

Police officers managed to repel the attack, but some of the militants managed to escape. A similar practice is used by the Taliban quite often, by attacking government forces and police stations.
