Newcastle defender Jamaal Lassells signed a new five-year contract with the "magpie".

Last month it was reported that Captain Newcastle decided to stay in the team after a similar decision by head coach Rafael Benitez.

The official website of the "forty" reported that a new labor agreement has been signed with Lassells, which will remain in force until 2023.

Note that the 23-year-old Lassels received a captain's armband from Benitez at the start of last season. In Newcastle, he moved in 2014 from Nottingham Forrest for 4.5 million pounds.
