John Poole, the founder of Primate Labs, known for the cross-platform benchmark Geekbench, decided to comment on the performance of the latest iPhone. He noted that in their test, the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X collect on average 50% more points than the flagships on Android. In a multi-core test, new "apple" devices produce over 10,000 points, while top Android smartphones average about 6,500 points. In the single-core mode, the situation is similar.

"The thing that I do not quite understand is why performance on the Android side has stalled. We do not see big leaps forward, and I do not understand what is happening there. At the moment, we have the performance of desktop computers in a smartphone. And this situation can not be viewed from a different angle. I would not even have thought of using my first generation iPhone for video editing. It would be like crazy, "said John Poole, founder of Primate Labs.

Earlier, Huawei promised that its new flagship smartphone Mate 10 with a chip Kirin 970 will be more powerful than the new iPhone. Is this really the case? We will find out on October 16. In addition, early next year there will be solutions on Snapdragon 845 and a new chipset from Samsung.
