In Ukraine, the aggression towards journalists increased

According to the source, about four times physical force was applied to journalists in the Ukrainian capital, two more times Odessa and Donetsk, one each - in the Rivne, Poltava regions and in Zaporozhye.

The chairman of the CNJU, Sergey Tomilenko, says violence against media officers has recently increased significantly, but still journalists continue to rely on law enforcement to protect themselves. According to the Institute of Mass Information (IMI), in Ukraine, from 2017, 172 cases of violations of freedom of speech. At the same time, this is a few points less than it was in 2016 - 184 cases of violence.

As reported in "URA-Inform", in Ukraine in August, the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine registered five cases of attacks and obstruction of professional journalistic activities.
