Ahimsa In terms of yogic philosophy, deciding to become a vegetarian, you follow the first principle of the pit - ahimsa (non-violence). You save the animals from suffering and prevent their killing. Refusal of meat also facilitates karma, which can cause trouble in the next life.

Yogis take during the meal to fill the stomach with half the food, one quarter - with water and one quarter leave free. Eating a little less than you need, you keep the mind sharp and light in the body.

The gap between eating and practicing yoga Before doing yoga, try to eat nothing for three hours. If you really want, you can eat or drink something easy: fruit, yogurt, tea. After doing the exercises, it is also advisable to stand an hour before eating.
