In the International Weightlifting Federation decided to remove the Ukrainian Weightlifting Team in full force from international competitions for 1 year.

The reason was positive doping tests of athletes at the Olympic Games in 2008 and 2012. As reported by the media, the team of Ukraine repeatedly presented with claims related to positive doping tests.

In addition to the Ukrainian Weightlifting Federation, athletes from Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Turkey and Moldova.

The statement says that the decision was made in connection with the repeated positive doping tests of athletes at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games and London 2012 - more than three times.

Earlier, two Russian athlete trainers were suspended for life for violating anti-doping rules.

Also earlier, the IOC stripped the silver medal of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, the Ukrainian weightlifter Olga Korobku.

Natalia Davydova, the bronze medal winner of the Games, lost her Olympic medal.

"We made it clear that the number of doping cases in some regions is completely unacceptable, and that members of our organization are obligated to ensure the purity of sport in their countries. If they do not fulfill their obligations concerning guarantees that their athletes are "clean", then they lose the right to participate in international competitions, "said Iamat Tamash Ayan.
