One of the most popular hair colors, according to a study of scientists, pose a threat to health. This is due to the fact that most of the manufacturers do not conduct a sufficient number of product tests. To this conclusion, the scientists came on the basis of research carried out on a number of the most popular hair dyes. Seven out of ten did not pass the test.
In particular, doctors have not found confirmation that the colors do not cause mutations in genes, cancers and other changes in the body's cells. For example, studies conducted in California have established a link between bladder cancer and certain components of hair dyes. The last study was conducted by a group of scientists working under the auspices of the European Commission.
In total, 47 brands of paints participated in the experiments, in the lead in sales, but already in the first ten, deviations from the safety standards. There are rumors that the EU is going to introduce new strict rules for testing hair dyes: Dr. Ian White, chairman of the Scientific Committee on Cosmetics and Non-Food Products, which compiles the report, said that the investigation will result in a "black list" of those stamps that will be withdrawn from sale. Exact names are not yet announced, but it is already known that the list will consist of more than 100 titles.
