Specialists from the University of Aberdeen found that a strong emotional experience can lead to violations in the work of the heart or even to an attack. This is stated in an article published in the Journal of the American Society of Echocardiography.

For more than two decades, scientists have known about the so-called Broken Heart Syndrome. As a result, it was proved that this disease affects cardiac muscle negatively. The authors of the study conducted an experiment in which more than 50 patients with Taco-Tsubo syndrome.

During MRI and ultrasound scanning, it was found that a mental illness leads to irreversible changes in the heart and the formation of scars.

Scientists noted that the alarm is caused by the fact that this disease began to occur more often.
