Director James Cameron began filming the sequel to his film "Avatar". It is reported Deadline.

The cinematographer is going to work consistently on the second, third, fourth and fifth parts of the franchise, the total budget will be more than a billion dollars. The release of the first sequel is scheduled for December 18, 2020, the premiere of the next part - in December 2021, the fourth and fifth films will be released in 2024 and 2025 respectively.

It is noted that the project will become one of the most expensive in the history of cinematography, given the budget of all four paintings.

In April 2016, Cameron announced that he began to shoot all four parts of the sequel "Avatar" at the same time. It was expected that in total their duration would be about eight hours. The release date of films on screens has been repeatedly transferred.
