According to the structure, Russia, referring to the absence of checkpoints through the Russian-Belarusian state border, banned its crossing by citizens of third countries, except for citizens of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reported that since May 15, 2017 the Russian side has been implementing border control of aircraft.

Arriving in the Russian Federation from the territory of the Republic of Belarus, as well as returning in the opposite direction, noted in the embassy.

"In this regard, the Ukrainian Embassy in the Republic of Belarus recommends that Ukrainian citizens refrain from traveling related to the crossing of the Belarusian-Russian state border, except for crossing by air transport. "- said in the embassy.

Due to the lack of agreements between Russia and Belarus on checkpoints, as well as decisions on the establishment of checkpoints on the Belarusian-Russian section of the state border, no control is carried out on this site.

As previously reported in URA-Inform, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is confident that the flow of Russian visitors due to biometric control at the borders will not lead to a decrease in the flow from the Russian side.
